RollSight™, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our software, website, and services (collectively, the "Service").

RollSight browser extension

The extension connects the RollSight desktop app to your selected Roll20 game. It checks the active tab address and reads the selected game's title and speaker identifier, relevant character names, sheet controls, formulas and bonuses. It checks unsent chat text only to avoid replacing your draft. It does not archive your chat history or track browsing on unrelated websites.

Your private pairing code, connected-game details, conventional sheet mappings and a limited record of delivery identifiers and times are stored in this browser profile. They are not synced through a RollSight cloud database. Modern advanced-sheet mappings are temporary and disappear when the sheet session ends.

The extension sends your pairing code and selected Roll20 game address to the RollSight desktop app on the same computer at http://127.0.0.1:8766. It receives physical dice results and acknowledges deliveries through this local connection. Keep your pairing code private.

When you send a roll, its dice values, total, roll label and any explicitly public replay link are submitted to your selected Roll20 game's public chat. Other game participants can see them. Roll20 handles those messages under its own policies. Mapping selections and input are processed to operate these features, not to create an activity history.

The extension does not send analytics or advertising data to RollSight, access your camera, upload dice images, or read payment details. Desktop account services, optional uploads and replay storage are separate features covered by the other sections of this policy.

Use Saved mappings to remove individual mappings. Disconnecting removes the active game connection but keeps your pairing code and saved mappings. Removing the extension deletes its browser data, but does not erase desktop data or messages already sent to Roll20. Delivery records are limited to 500 entries, and entries older than 24 hours are removed during subsequent polling.

Optional desktop usage reporting

The desktop app can send private usage reports linked to your license and device. Reports include session start, activity and end times, counts of rolls and dice, recorded die types and values, and the app version. Recognition values may be corrected after a report is sent.

We use these reports to understand product use and reliability. The admin dashboard shows counts and averages. It estimates country from the reporting request for an approximate map; this is not GPS location. The private usage tables do not store the request IP address, images, chat messages, or session names. Usage reports are not public roll statistics.

Share usage statistics with RollSight is on by default in desktop Settings → Sharing. You can turn it off at any time. Turning it off stops future reports and discards unsent reports on that device. Previously received reports remain subject to this policy; contact us to request deletion.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

Provide, maintain, and improve our Service
Process payments and manage subscriptions
Train and improve our recognition models
Enhance the dice recognition database
Send service-related communications
Respond to support requests
Comply with legal obligations

4. Dice Image Database

When you train dice using RollSight™, the images and associated data become part of our aggregated, anonymized database. This database is used to:

Improve recognition accuracy for all users
Train machine learning models
Provide recognition services to subscribers

Your individual dice images are not shared with other users. Only aggregated, anonymized data is used to improve the Service. You retain ownership of your training data.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

Service Providers: With third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf (e.g., payment processing, hosting)
Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
With Consent: When you explicitly consent to sharing

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption, secure servers, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
